Entrol, the manufacturer of EASA and FAA certified FNPT, FTD, and FFS flight simulators, announces the recent installation and certification of a new en-1000x FNPT simulator at Flying Green Academy, a prominent aviation school based in France. This versatile device is set to become a cornerstone of Flying Green’s training programs, offering pilots a flexible and highly realistic training environment.
A hub of versatility for modern pilot training
The en-1000x simulator is engineered to maximize training versatility. Its core feature is the three easily interchangeable cockpit configurations: SEP Complex Analog, for foundational training with traditional instruments, and SEP Complex G1000 & MEP G1000, which replicate the modern glass cockpit avionics prevalent in today’s aviation.
This flexibility allows Flying Green Academy to offer a complete training syllabus on a single device, adapting to the needs of students at every stage of their career—from initial training to complex and multi-engine aircraft endorsements.
Immersion and Realism at the Core of Training
To ensure an immersive flight experience, the simulator is equipped with a high-quality cylindrical visual system and three projectors, delivering a seamless 180-degree field of view. The visual database includes 10 key airports for the school’s operations, such as LFPN, LFPO, LFPB, and LFMN, allowing pilots to practice in complex scenarios and on real-world routes. Furthermore, the LFLA (Flying Green Academy’s base) airport is rendered in high definition with satellite imagery for superior realism.
Immersion is further enhanced by a vibration system that provides tactile feedback, helping pilots develop muscle memory and refine their maneuvers with greater precision.
Optimized for the Complete Pilot Journey
Beyond type ratings, the en-1000x is designed to develop the core competencies that airlines demand. Its platform enables advanced training in Crew Resource Management (CRM), decision-making, and emergency procedures in a safe and controlled environment. It also serves as an excellent tool for Jet Orientation Courses and airline selection interview preparation, giving Flying Green Academy graduates a decisive competitive edge.
Iñigo Hernández, entrol’s Business Manager, commented: “Our collaboration with Flying Green Academy is very exciting. The en-1000x provides them with unprecedented versatility, allowing them to cover their entire syllabus—from analog instruments to the G1000—in a single simulator. It is the ideal tool for flight schools looking to elevate the quality of their training.”
